WISI presents innovative solutions for the reception, processing and distribution of broadband and IP video signals at ANGA COM

At the leading international exhibition for broadband and media, the company will be presenting comprehensive video and access solutions for broadband network operators and service providers. This year’s highlights on display at stand A14 in hall 8 include the state-of-the-art outdoor aggregation switches of the NOVALINK series and the new FALCON compact video headend for the hospitality sector. The highly integrated, Tangram ABR receiver for B2B applications, for receiving Adaptive Bit Rate (ABR) streams and decrypting them using Widevine DRM technology is another innovation presented.

NOVALINK

WISI is breaking completely new ground with the NOVALINK Outdoor Aggregation Switches of the RS series, designed to meet the requirements of network operators in the field of aggregation from 1G/10G/25G to a 100G trunk interface in virtually any installation situation. The NOVALINK series outdoor aggregation switches offer a decisive advantage in the area of network architectures where conventional 19’ systems reach their limits in outdoor areas. Their design makes them a reliable solution for a wide range of outdoor applications.

FALCON

Receive. Process. Distribute. With the new compact video headend FALCON, WISI presents a new product family for the hospitality sector. Based on WISI’s proven signal processing the FALCON headend is designed for use in 19’ racks, but also offers the option of wall mounting. Flexible configurations allow the FALCON headend to be easily adapted to specific market requirements. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, including hotels and guesthouses, hospitals and rehabilitation clinics as well as care facilities and retirement homes. The integrated switching matrix makes it very easy to assign the various connected polarisation levels to the respective reception tuners without the need for additional external equipment. This saves space, material costs and installation time. Thanks to the additional multiplexing function at the output, up to 16 output channels can be processed in any programme combination and optionally decoded via integrated CI interfaces.

Tangram ABR receiver

Receive. Decrypt. Distribute.

We are proud to offer the first professional ABR receiver. It enables the reception of ABR video streams, their mass decryption via a connected Google Widevine DRM system and subsequent conversion to an IPTV transport stream for IP distribution networks or to QAM/analogue for coaxial distribution structures. With the ABR receiver, WISI enables cable network operators to reuse multiscreen video content for the home in business applications such as hotels, hospitals and sports & event locations. A major advantage of this technology is the provision of TV services to customers outside the operator’s own distribution network. Receiving ABR with Tangram only requires a regular Internet connection, which is made efficient and secure with WISI.
