Continuous monitoring of up to 120 channels, including priority channel

Niefern-Öschelbronn, November 5, 2020 – With the WA45, WISI is launching a new stand-alone DVB monitor for CATV systems. The device is suitable for troubleshooting and troubleshooting in cable networks with DVB-C/-T and -T2-based signals. In this way, it effectively supports installation and maintenance work in DVB networks.

Through the RF loopback connection, RF parameters as well as the signal quality of continuous MPEG transport streams can be monitored and measured in accordance with the TR 101 290 measurement guidelines (up to P1) for DVB systems. The WA 45 features a dual tuner for continuous scanning of up to 120 channels. With a maximum scan time of less than three seconds per channel (with fully automatic detection of all channel options), the WA 45 provides a quick overview of the frequency band, including the spectrum. If necessary, the second tuner can also lock onto a problem channel and monitor it in detail around the clock. The network operator can also have SNMP-based alarm notifications sent in case of failures or errors. Detailed channel configuration allows unneeded channels to be switched off, thus reducing the duration of a full-branch scan.

The user-friendly WISI WA 45 is housed in a robust casing and can be connected to a network, PC or laptop via an RJ45 Ethernet port. The unit is powered via a 230 VAC power supply or, alternatively, via a 65 VAC power supply.

The WISI WA 45 for fault and interference detection in cable networks with DVB-C/-T and -T2 based signals is now available. More information is available from the WISI sales department. You can contact them at the e-mail address vertriebsinnendienst@wisigroup.com.
