The All Seeing Eye Provides Affordable, Reliable, Easy to Use Video Monitoring for All Operators
Vancouver, CANADA, June 4th, 2014 – Inca Networks, the Intelligent Video Delivery™ company, has announced the general availability of the Inca All Seeing Eye (ASE) 5420, a comprehensive IP video monitoring platform for digital cable and IPTV operators. Leveraging the embedded status monitoring capabilities included in all Inca products, the All Seeing Eye 5420 provides operators with an interactive mosaic view of all video streams in the video headend, simplifying troubleshooting and analysis. Live statistics, alarms and interactive reporting provide unparalleled visibility into video operations.
Video is a critical but low margin business for operators. Staff resources today are spread across a wide range of products and responsibilities so operators need powerful tools that help control costs. Whether used interactively by the engineering team or passively on a wall mounted display by customer service, the Inca All Seeing Eye provides the information operators need to deliver reliable and profitable video to customers.
“Deeper visibility and better control is the cornerstone of our Intelligent Video Delivery solutions. The All Seeing Eye makes it easy for operators to view a mosaic of video thumbnails, monitor how each program is performing, and identify and isolate issues using a standard web browser,” said Jeff Campbell, CEO of Inca Networks. “The ASE helps improve reliability and reduce operating costs in the video network, while extending visibility to personnel in engineering, management and customer care.”
The ASE is built on VidiOS™—Inca’s advanced IP video processing and monitoring engine. Operators can now benefit from revolutionary software and carrier-grade control and visibility when processing and delivering traditional linear and multiscreen video. ASE features include video thumbnails for all local and remote channels, live stream captures, extensive payload analysis, alarm rollups and centralized management of all IP video equipment. The ASE supports HD and SD MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC video streams.
“Inca’s solution enables us to monitor and manage our entire system from a single web browser. With the VidiOS features, I now see a lot more detail about our video streams than I ever did with competitors’ gear. Inca’s All Seeing Eye has made it significantly easier for us to troubleshoot problems—without having to buy third-party equipment,” said William Richey, CEO of ACME Communications Inc., a TV, telephone and broadband operator serving Indiana.
Mosaic displays of complete program lineups and separate customized views of specific channel groups or tiers can be configured for each user or department. Access is available from desktop and mobile devices, empowering field staff with up-to-the-minute information. Large wall displays, or dedicated monitors on the desktop allow operators to see everything at-a-glance.
“I have never before had the level of visibility provided by the Inca gear, including the mosaic for our call center. Everyone appreciates being able to see what is going on,” says Gary Percy, Headend Engineer for Bermuda Cablevision. “I wouldn’t want to run the business without it.”
The Inca All Seeing Eye 5420 is available now.
