Within the WISI Group, WISI Automotive GmbH & Co. KG offers its customers many years of expertise in the development, design and manufacturing of antennas, telematics systems and RF accessories in the automotive environment. For the earliest possible date, we would like you to become part of our team in the framework of a thesis (Bachelor or Master) about the development of a MIMO triple-band antenna for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth using multiple modes.

The requirements for mobile wireless data transmission are steadily increasing – even when getting data into the automobile. An increasing number of vehicle occupants want to communicate at ever higher data rates. Meanwhile, there is less integration volume left for antennas. Multimode antennas can be used to develop high-performance antenna solutions. This approach will be applied by realizing an high-performing WiFi 6 antenna

 

 

Focal points of the thesis

• Familiarization with the theoretical basis of multimode antennas
• Elaboration of new concepts (or further development and optimization of existing concepts) for the realization of decoupled structures with minimized space requirements
• Development of a two-antenna concept on a structure with high resilience to different positioning in the car
• Trade-off between performance (low ECC & high efficiency) and space requirements
• Theoretical derivation, simulation and realizing prototypes of the selected radiator structure
• Final measurements of the realized performance

 

Your profile

• You are a registered student in the field of electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, information technology or similar
• Ideally, you have already been able to gain practical experience through internships or working student activities
• You convince with a structured, reliable and independent way of working You like to work independently and are still an absolute team player
• You have very good written and spoken German and English skills and are well-versed in the use of common MS Office applications
